Mandraki Harbour · Rhodes · Est. 2025
Slow days at sea, the Greek way.
Boutique sailing cruises from Mandraki harbour, Rhodes. A handcrafted wooden boat, family hospitality, days unhurried by design.
A note from the harbour
Princess Sailing Cruises was founded in 2025 by Vasilis Makarounas — a third-generation Rhodian who grew up between the harbour and the open sea.
Our boat is handcrafted from wood. Our food is cooked the way our grandmothers taught us. Our days at sea are unhurried by design — long swims, slow lunches, the white wine cold in the glass and the afternoon stretching out ahead of you.

The journeys
A handful of ways to spend a day.
Where we go
Three coves the east coast keeps for itself.

Kallithea Springs
A 1920s spa in stone, mosaic, and the clearest water on the island.

Anthony Quinn Bay
Emerald turquoise. Ochre cliffs. A cove the actor tried to buy.

Ladiko Beach
A sheltered cove next door — sand, shallow water, very few people.
The boat
Wood, brass, sail. Built by hand.

In their words
“An afternoon trip with Captain Vasilis — boat ride, fishing, exceptional hospitality, souma offered by the captain. An afternoon we'll never forget.”
— A.K., Athens
“Three hours of fishing where everyone got to take part, then swimming in the Kallithea caves while the captain grilled the catch. Unforgettable for me and my child.”
— T.M.
“A day with two seven-year-old twins. The care Captain Vasilis and Angelos gave the children was deeply moving.”
— L.D.
